Do you ever find your limited in the mess you can make by the space you have?

Let me explain...I am lucky enough to get messy with my girlfriend, maybe once a month or thereabouts but we do it in the bath, then get cleaned up!

What I really want to do is experience the whole messy thing for a while, walk about with my shoes filled and hear and feel whats going on inside them.

We can't do it outside as the neighbours will see and we can't do it anywhere else in the house as we have carpets everywhere.

Also, no matter how careful we are, the mess gets everywhere, trying to pie someone standing in a bath is always going to result in some mess flying past the person's face and hitting the wall, messy hands then turn on taps and the room is soon covered in pie and custard and other such pleasant things.

How do other folk do it, particularly those who hold sessions in their houses, where do you all get messy and how do you contain it.

I'm so jealous of sploshers with studios!!!

Believe it or not I shoot in the living room and the shower is located upstairs. The answer I'm afraid isn't a simple one, we have a paddling pool and no less than 4 layers of plastic sheeting to catch the mess. The models get bin bag dresses to try and avoid dripping and wash their feet before stepping off onto the carpet. Even then I have to clean spots off the walls, the odd spot on the carpet and the bathroom needs a right good scrub usually. My advice would be to plan and prepare as carefully as you can but afterwards still be prepared to do some cleaning. It's a hell of a lot of work but worth it in my opinion.

Take a white chair and rub it so it's statically charged and will attract the mess.

If you'd like some pointers on how to prep a room for a full-on, no-holds-barred piefight, you might want to watch a few episodes of "Dexter". Great show, but it's made it a lot harder to inconspicuously walk out of the hardware store with a cart full of plastic sheeting and duct tape.
