Hey wammers. I'm wondering what people think about oil being considered wetlook. I think about it whenever somebody submits something that has oil in it and checks the wetlook box, even though there is no water. I know that technically it IS wetlook because oil makes things shiny, translucent, and clingy just like the wetlook fans like. So does clear lube. But I don't think that somebody clicks on a wetlook category expecting to see oily, lubed up models.

So what do you think? Is water the only ingredient that should be considered wetlook?

p.s. I am repeating this poll here and in the wetlook forum. I wonder if there will be a big difference in the results!

I've always thought of oily scenarios as wetlook because it achieves the same results as water. As you mentioned, shiny, clingy, see through, etc.

It's both! It's a bi-wam substance! Messy, yet with see through results on clothes!

Well , if oil ISN'T wet, what is it ? It's obviously not really messy. It also happens to be one of my favourite substances. Wish there was more on here . I suppose you could always create a section specially for oil and nothing else

There is clear oil (cooking oil) which to me is along the lines of wetlook, but there is also black oil (used motor oil, etc.) which is definitely messy. Moving "oil" into the wetlook category would mean those of us interested in the black version would probably miss any such posts.

On the fence. It gives me more of a boner than water, but less of a boner than non-clear wam substances.

oil is a liquid but so is mot of the other substances we wam in is a form of liquid. I always thought water and soapy stuff as wetlook and oil to be mess IMO. Maybe an oil category?

Clearly we need a separate oil forum.

I'd say its messy because it destroys clothing beyond repair and takes a very long time to wash off...and even then I'm still left a feeling bit oily

It doesn't look very messy though... but mixed with golden syrup or honey it adds heaps of feeling to a good soaking sticky messy session

i think its just an awesone way of combining wet AND messy!

I personally think that wet look can look even better if there is a bit of oil applied to the skin before getting soaked then makes everything more slippery and more shiney and very sexy.. but maybe thats just my oppinion

My opinion would be that oil may look wet, like water, on the skin and on clothing, but, it feels like mess and the clean up takes a lot longer then plain, old H2O...
I do rather like playing in "ooooil,"... the way that it feels on one's body and the slipperiness between two bodies.... ooh la la...I do love playing in water as well...whether it be in a hot tub, a swimming pool, a clear water lake, in a babbling brook, a meandering stream or rushing river...whilst of course, ALL dressed up to enjoy the feeling in my glamorous clothing and high heels...

Just my opinion...as it is ALL is a lot of FUN... playing in ALL kinds of different substances...the "sky is the limit"...I say.

Haha, I replied to this question in the wetlook forum, just taken a look here and spotted all the responses!

I'm with the crowd here, I'd say both, but its my favorite substance of the lot so I'm biased! ;)

Again, being biased, but I have sometimes thought the same Regisblb!
With it being a favorite, I have scoured the web for just such a forum with not much luck.

I think when it's clean vegetable oil, it more or less is wetlook as it flows and behaves much like water does, and leaves the recipients clothes looking shiny and wet but not actually messy (even though they are really).

Other oils like used motor oil or crude oil, etc, are all firmly in the messy category, but are also very dangerous to use (I believe used engine oil is highly carcinogenic, for example).

Here's a few shots from our archives involving sunflower oil, to me these are more wetlook than messy.

Maiden the Slave Girl, wearing a boilersuit, being thoroughly drenched in oil by Nurse Wendy. Maiden's suit is almost totally drenched in oil (just bits of her arms still dry) but still looks "clean", just very shiny / wet!


PS: For oil fans, both sets those came from are available both on our site and in the download store. They are the only oil sets we've done to date.
