Any producers or wammers have experience with indoor mud they'd like to share? I'm concerned about the mess factor.

When we kayaked last time to Clay Lake, we got mud 'to go' by bringing two very large plastic containers. I've mixed it with slime powder to make it even gooier, but just wanted to get an idea about the potential for mess disaster when wamming with something like mud, as opposed to slime, etc.

I'm mostly worried about splatters on walls, ceiling, etc. or spillage on carpets, etc. Any comments?

Get a baby pool next to the area to rinse off in. Lisa and I just wipe ourselfs down and then wrap up in a towel to stop from all the lil mud drops leaving a trail. Plastic runners are cheap and can lead you right to your bathroom. Ive never had any major problems washing the mud down the drain. PM if you have any more "?"

Thanks Louse! I've also never had problems rinsing stuff down the drain, as long as there's lots of water going down with it. Our place is too small for the baby pool, we'll have to just stand on towels and 'de-drip' until it's safe to walk to the bathroom. Naturally the soles of the feet must be wiped clean first. You're rinse-pool idea is great, and once we move to a larger house, we'll have a 'wam room' so none of this will be a concern.

i dont have a pool well i do but its filed with mud, but what i do is use a five gal bucket step into it and clean my feet and hands then use a towel to cover up with as well as one on the floor for the " pre-drip" Ive nver heard that before and its the perfect way to explain it

A super little mud-fight with Gloppy, Shredder, Betty and I

was a total surprise in my kitchen .....but quickly made a FINE running mess everywhere around the living-room and hallway, too, floors, walls, lamps, furniture, ceilings.... What we did was finish our fun and then start cleaning! lol nobody said it was going to be easy!!

In the past I have found a great way to have my muddy fun and keep the mess down. Now this will all depend on the size of your bathroom. I would go the the paint store and get plastic sheet material. Line the walls sink etc... with one continious piece of the plastic making sure that it is attached to the tub also. once this is done you can do any kind of waming you want to. I have filled a good sized area with a couple inches of mud with no problems at all. the walls act like walls of a swimming pool. In that area you will have easy access to water, and the cleanup is a breeze.

Good plan, Mikey. In the past when I lived elsewhere, I also used a good deal of plastic sheeting, so I'd buy a roll of vapor barrier from the building supply house. It is thicker and comes in 8 foot widths, very easy to cut off and tape around the place where needed. A whole roll would run about $18 and last for ages, and was virtually puncture-proof compared to a plastic drop-cloth used for painting.

/i think the way to go is the big rolls of poly vapour barrier...

of course I do like the way that towel was modelled above..
