People are willing to share something they think is new and exciting and they are publicly ridiculed if they don't take the time to do an extensive search on all possible matching key words.
I see it the same way as someone telling a group of people a really funny joke. Just because YOU have heard the joke doesn't mean that everyone has. Such is the forum. Maybe I've been away from the computer for a while, I missed the earlier post and the repost is my first exposure to the topic at hand...
Does it really dampen your day to see the same post twice? Is it soaking up all of the remaining internet? (Pardon both wetlook puns... completely unintentional).
Perhaps I am in the minority as I am not a huge forum dweller. Please enlighten me. Until then, happy wamming.
Mr GMAS
I also agree with GMAS. I've tried searching using the search bar for things that I know are on here (just to try it) and got no results. Maybe I wasn't using the right key words, but the point is that sometimes things don't show up when you search. I also agree that sometimes something that is re-posted is new to some people. I've had my computer in the shop a couple of times for several weeks and missed a lot of stuff. The other thing, if the re-post is of something from a little while back, I usually enjoy seeing it again.
If I've seen it and don't want to see it again, I go on to the next post.
It's all good!
