bonesiii said: i read today that as part of Liverpools summer clear out that Rodriguez will be going, as will Kuyt, as he is frustrated at not being able to hold down a first team place. As Kuyt has been one of the better players this season, as he always is, I sympathise with him. he would be in MY first team squad without a doubt
as for Caroll doing a Torres, if only he was in the same class.....
Totally with you.
It's weird, I saw Kuyt playing for Ajax and I knew he would be in the UK sooner or later, then Liverpool bought him.
He is absolute class, his work rate is always 100% - one of the most underrated players in football. Whenever he comes on, Liverpool get better. Why he isn't a starter for the majority of games, I just don't understand.
Totally agree mate - I was so excited when we signed him all those years ago - he might not have got quite as many goals as I thought he would - but his workrate and contribution to the team in EVERY game he plays makes him worth his weight in gold.
Be gutted to see him leave - I mean just look at the difference he made in the cup final which we seemed to be trying our hardest NOT to win!
Think his age is counting against him now, even tho he is only 31(?) apparently we are trying to build a young squad...
That would probably count him out of Spurs too, although anyone with any sense would take him on for at least another couple of years - I hope he stays in England.
Well, they are the only team we have beaten convincingly in the leage recently, but then again they are also above us in the league and in a good run of form...
Having said that, Carroll scoring the winner against Blackburn could, and I say could very cautiously.., finally trigger the Andy carroll of old
Should be good - even if we are down to our 3rd choice keeper!
That was a relief she Carol scored. Came close to losing third string keeper as well... he did not look comfortable out there, despite walking on to save a penalty!
It should be a good game. Will be a great game if Liverpool make the final...
Looks like he could have a perfect line of site... but he took so long to decide that it had to be guesswork.
We need goal line technology at the highest levels.
I totally understand the argument that soccer needs to remain an inexpensive game at every level, but when you look at what's involved at the highest levels...
I really enjoyed that Chelsea game. They rode there luck a bit with that one off the crossbar, other than holding Barca off for 90 minutes was one hell of a feat. Some players really showed their quality and concentration.
Not usually a fan of Drogba, but he was IMMENSE (When he wasn't laying down) - plus he was tired from Sundays game!
If they can pull off knocking out Barca... wow. They will have a permanent manager there and then that can demand his own price!
As for Messi. Holy shit, instant control! My wife put it as "He thinks it, and the ball does it.".
I was hoping they would bring Torres on for the last 10 minutes and see him hammer one home. His time is coming... it has to be!
