Hi all.
You may (or may not) know me as Steve - StickyTara's other half.
For our latest video (out soon), I have built a damn fine gunge tank.
I have asked before about building them, but didn't get much feedback.
They are all aluminium frame (25mm) and stand 1800mm high by 900mm square.
I could make any size you want - perhaps to fit over a bath or something.
The frame goes together with wing nuts, and will store flat under a bed when not in use.
The front and sides are clad in 4mm polycarbonate panels (9 in total) and these also just attached with wing nuts.
There is an electric (12v) hopper on the top that holds about a full bucket of whatever you want.
It is triggered by a simple press button. System runs on batteries so totally safe.
Now the standard 3 sided frame and release system costs around £320. I can't really get the cost down any lower as aluminium is pretty expensive.
P&P would be on top.
If people wanted to use polythene as side panels, then I could knock off £80 or so for the 'no polycarbonate panels' option.
Other options you could add would be a front door (probably around £60) or a random timer so you don't know when the gunge will be released (probably around £20).
The only other thing you might need is a paddling pool to sit it in.
They are on Ebay for various prices. I would suggest a framed one for easy of assembly. They are about £15/20. Inflatable ones are about £6
I could supply those if needed.
Other additions I am thinking of would be a multiple release unit (no idea how much yet). So that you get one of either 4 or 9 gunges instead of just one.
Its only an idea... lets have your feedback.
I know cost is always the big issue, I can't think of a way of making it any cheaper without it being rubbish quality.
If there is interest, I can always design a smaller system to sit over your bath. Saves on needing a pool, door etc
