Just a heads up.....heard this morning that the Regis and Kelly show next week will be going for the record for the biggest custard pie fight (over 230 people) Set your DVR's my people....it should be fun

It's nice to see Regis and Kelly actually do something worth watching

They have used big clunky goggles in past pie events...lets hope they don't this time around.

NP Guys. Glad I was able to catch the announcement from Kelly Ripa right as I was walking past the TV. LOL...I nearly dropped my morning bagel.

On a side note, Kelly seemed really eager to take a pie. I also doubt they will be wearing goggles. There will be well over 200 people and I doubt the will be handing everyone goggles. I have a very good feeling about this one guys.

Yeah I remember a few years ago she was trying to break the Guinness record for number of pies to the face in a row or something like that...and it was something ridiculous like 17 or something...I kept thinking how I was sure if anyone actually held the record, it would be one of us! But yeah, I believe she was wearing goggles for that...I think it's on youtube but I'm too lazy to find it She definitely seems to like her pies though!

The official site says there'll be a record breaking attempt next Thursday but it has to do with running. None of the "record breaking week" events mention anything about a pie fight. Are we sure about this? Is it confirmed on a schedule somewhere?

It would of been legendary had They done it on Wed and got Megan Fox to take part in it. Considering she got her start on Kelly Ripas Hope and Faith Sitcom, she might of done it. But instead I'm sure Dennis Quaid will take part in it and surely they will focus on him more than Kelly or any other females who may take part, But it is confirmed for Thurs as my dig cable preview mentions it

I'm betting on googles, but we'll see. Remember the first food fight that got cut short because Kelly emptied about half a bottle of mustard in Regis' eye? Their insurer must have had a heart attack. (I kind of hope it's a trick, and Rippa gets all 200 pies, though. She's such a closet wammer that it's not even funny).

They're doing it wrong...you don't need 230 people...you need 10-15 people and 3,000 pies...LOL

This is probably going to be a massive anti climax, but the Regis and Kelly website has a piece on Guiness week where it says that 1,500 pies will be used for the record attempt, and it also thanks Sara Lee for supplying the pies.

Exactly. The larger the crowd, the more "out-of-control" it will be.
Doubt even one pie makes it into the face of another, let alone of a female.

Face it: like all mainstream media, it will be a big load of shit.

It also depends on how far everyone is from each other.

I don't have any interest watching people lob pies 50 feet to try to hit another. But if they're within 6 feet, that's a whole new story.
