I just want to wish good luck to all our American friends who are enduring hurricane Irene, I hope you all make it through safely and we see you all again here soon safe and sound. I know many members live in the affected areas and I hope everything is ok.

Thanks. I got a mini-levee set up outside my door, and lots of water/ice in my fridge in case the power goes out. I'm in the Boston area, so we won't get hit until tomorrow.

I think Muddoug took the brunt of it, landfall wasn't too awfully far from his house...

It was Doug and Heather who I was thinking of when I wrote this as I realised they were right in the line of destruction, hopefully they are fine Bob

We lost power on friday night, and just got it back this afternoon. That was a couple miserably humid days.

I'm glad you're ok though Sam

Aedyn and I got through it ok, power went out briefly and have no tv/internet till today. Very little damage in my area.

Heather and I both weathered the storm. The eye made landfall about 35 miles from my home. I had a couple of downed trees and Heather lost some shingles, but we're both fine. I didn't lose power, but I lost Internet for 4 days.
