Wow, a lot of WAM in that short trailer - I believe one brief snippet was from Gilly's Silly House but couldn't place the others.

Yes...you are quite right. The show is pretty disengenous, cos 70% of the clips they show on that series are NOT from tv shows at all....and most of them are videos they just took (without permission or even contacting us) from several wam producers. The clips you refer to were aired on the last season of shows, in which they took media from several of our Eurowam.net sites and so our media was featured on 4 different shows, as was media from AllWam and other wet and messy producers. The only real tv clips I saw on that show were the ones from Italian TV...now those were real tv shows.....but most or their clips were just taken from our wam site and other wam producer sites.....which is OK....cos at least they showed the clips in a decent quality (HD quality) and they did not downgrade our media into crappy Youtube quality.

Anyway...last season AllWam and Eurowam were featured on at least 4 different shows...and other producers were on some episodes too.

I am curious to see what their new season starting in March will be like....i.e. if you are a wam producer...you should follow this series...cos some of your media is likely to show up on that series and they never contact you to ask permission to air it.

Can't they get in some legal hot water for taking producer's clips and broadcasting them w/o permission? Let's get 'em!!!! (grabs pitchfork lol )

In the case of the Gilly Silly House clips they contacted us first - however we are not responsible for the stoopid voice-overs.

They took our Eurowam clips 4 times and put them in 4 different shows last season....and we were never contacted or asked.

It is very hard to sue big time media corporations like G4 Channel (which is owned by Viacom...who also own MTV and Comedy Central) cos aside from the fact that they have teams of lawyers on their side, and we don't, they can always claim the excuse that this was a "news event"...and copyright laws allow tv news organizations and quasi-tabloid shows to take whatever they find on the internet and use it on their shows, and claim they are showing footage from a "news event" and copyright laws exempt news organizations and quasi tabloid tv shows and allow them to do that....so you basically have little chance of winning a lawsuit against them.

But at least they respect Bill and Splosh magazine...and had the decency to ask him first.

lol Very true wamtec, good points. How many corporations own the US media? Oh that's right isn't it like 5? Woot for the Bell Telecommunications act!
