UMD download store is open again. Thanks for your patience!

We now process through Epoch, who has been our UMD Premium processor for years, and iWam.com's processor for even more years.

We now take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, and basically everything except Amex. Oh, and Skittles. We accept Skittles.

There is a little bit of a process to checking out now, as you must first put a credit card on file with Epoch, then check out separately. There was no way around this, but UMD will walk you through the process at checkout time, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

For producers: I had to lower the percentage. Your commission on every sale is now 70%. You will still get paid through your AlertPay account each Sunday. There's nothing for you to change or update in your profiles. I have not approved any new downloads since the stores were offline; I will begin approving them shortly to show up for Saturday's What's New.

Everybody hit me right here with complaints, criticism, suggestions, and all that stuff. I'm online, I'm strapped to my chair because of this hurricane coming to Delaware, and I'm ready to make sure this thing is working great for everybody.

to messmaster heres a legit question for you say you have to give epoch a credit card before you can do any downloads or buy stuff what garante do the public have that ones credit card info will not be fraudulantly used or copied by a third party when you give your credit card info out is the new site useing a secur encrypted page for transactions all credit card companys tell their holders to not give out passwords or info on the net because you dont know if the page you land on is legit or one that a hacker has set up to steal your info because ive seen it happen you go to a page and it looks legit only to find out it isnt what precautions have you taken to ensure that this dosent happen to any of the customers who buy stuff its just a safety concern is all

Epoch is a secure site - or as secure as any other legitimate website that accepts credit cards. No matter what service you use, including Paypal or your own bank, there's never a 100% guarantee of security. Thanks, Messmaster, for keeping the store operative!

And by the time Irene comes to Delaware, it looks like it won't be more than a big blow and some rain. I've been through a couple of Category 3s (slept right through the last one, with the eye traveling up the interstate just about five miles away), and the best thing to do is have candles/matches, water, foods that don't need cooking, and a cellphone handy. And stay away from lowlands that tend to flood even with a normal rain!

Had to read that like 5 times and insert my own commas and periods. LOL. Legitimate questions though. Epoch has been around for a long time, and I have been using them for well over 7 years for UMD's Premium service as well as iWam.com's memberships. Never a late payment, and never an issue taking Visa or Mastercard. The only reason I didn't use them in the first place for downloads is because of their higher fee. But now, it seems that the higher fee is worth it.

And yes, UMD's checkout pages and all their pages are encrypted. I don't really know of any phishing pages out there mimicking Epoch's site, but if you make sure you checkout by clicking UMD's own Check Out buttons, then you're sure to have the right site.

I do see the decline in my logs, but site owners are not given any information about your credit cards or declined purchases (security reasons). If I were you, I'd contact them at https://epoch.com/ They have a live chat, a 24/7 800 number, and other ways to contact them. Be sure to tell them your name, the time of the transaction, and perhaps the last 4 of your credit card. Please let me know if there is anything else I could do.

No. You'll still be paid out weekly, on Sunday, via Alertpay. There is nothing different that you have to do, and no new payment account to sign up to.

Actually I like to segregate the green M&M's.

often I have used my cards for mmm for lack of a better term "porn" and have had them denied... then when I call my card company they list this type of use as suspect and normally I have to give a clearence that I am indeed using my card to get internet porn.. Just a thought as to why a card might get denied.
