Hi MM,
I've just noticed that someone had posted on my wall (to use FaceBook terminology). I have no idea how long ago that was done as the system doesn't send me a mail to tell me that someone's posted there and I don't often go looking at my own profile!
Anyway, when replying on his page, I over-ran slightly and cut off the end of a URL so intended to repost. However, I'd accidentally copied the entire message instead of just part of it (stooopid, huh?) so made it worse. Having finally got it there on the third attempt, I thought I'd go back and delete the bad version so I hit the 'delete' button, whereupon I was given an edit box and invited to re-edit it.
Thinking I could delete all the text to achieve the deletion of the post, I did this but was then told that there was no text to post and that I should correct this, so there doesn't appear to be any way to delete a post once you've put it up. It's also not clear from the 'delete' button that this is, in fact, an edit button not a delete button.
Perhaps you'd like to fiddle with these issues when you have a moment.
Thanks,
C_W.
