I bought a new engine for my F-250 pickut, the truck has 273,000 miles on it from a us well know autoparts retailer... the engine did not run right, then they had a shop swap engines, still trouble.. This time I thouroughly inspected the engine and found cracked gears. If an engine was properly rebuilt there should be no cracks in the gears....
on the messy side it's been one big mess getting this matter resolved... lots of oil, grease, and radiator fluid too... laundry detergent liquid or powder cleans up much of the mess however I still need an engine that runs to FORD specifications
If you want to know the name of the company I will tell you. Their name begins with the first letter of the alphabet and the second part the last letter....
We buy junkyard motors for our racecars, but only from junkyards with a good return policy. We went through four motors (DOHC 4.6s) in one car before finally getting a good one, but the yard was happy to work with us to make sure we got a good one.
I'd buy a crate motor from jasper long before I'd buy one from what we refer to around here as "Vatozone."
