If you like Mexican food and/or margaritas, Alberto's in San Jose is worth a stop. My last serious girlfriend lives just a couple of blocks from there, and my last visit to her was a very rough time for me. Save for selling a bit of writing, the only silver lining in that trip was Alberto's food and drink. The place doesn't look like much, but it offers the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Also, as a guy who normally dislikes tequila, I found their margaritas extremely tasty. Be wary if you're driving though -- each one also has the strength of about three ordinary drinks.
