I'm trying to withdraw/transfer my alertpay funds to my current account in the UK and it won't let me.

It says credit card payments aren't available and when i enter my account details to do a bank transfer it says they are invalid (but they are not) its been like this for months and i';m getting very annoyed. Has anyone managed to solve the issue or had similar probs please?

I believe this is the beginning of the end for Alertpay. Not that they are necessarily a horrible company, but their banking situation is apparently not good.

I sent out an email blast today saying that anybody with funds in Alertpay can actually transfer them back to me, and then I will pay you again via Paypal if you sign up to Paypal. This is to keep you from your funds getting stuck inside of Alertpay in case this real problems arise and they shut down or whatever. If I can't withdraw the funds myself after you send it back to me, then I'll just take that hit, but at least your funds won't be tied up with them. My top priority is getting all you guys PAID.

If you need me to send the email to you again, please let me know. And sorry for all the fuss.

After you make the switch to PayPal, I will have to close my store (mudlover.com), because my company is banned from using PayPal. I used to sell PG rated mud DVDs on PayPal that did NOT, in any way, violate their terms, which I read carefully, but they decided, after I was published in "Loaded" magazine (issue #125), that I was in violation of their terms, and they suspended my account. I wouldn't go back to PayPal, even if I could. Heather Blake may continue to sell the movies I produce with her, but I will have to drop out.

As i see it from the announcement PayPal are not doing or involved in any adult content possessing MM is just using them as a the middle man to distribute the money out to the producers so there should be no issues with PayPal at all just sending money around think that sums it up

If you are referring to my post, it doesn't matter if it would be acceptable to PayPal. My company is BANNED from doing business on PayPal. I cannot set up an account on PayPal under my company name and EIN.
Furthermore, I would not, even if I could, nor will I create a new company or find some other way to set up a new account. PayPal screwed me once, I'm not going to deal with them, again.

... and furthermore. PayPal has a catch-all clause that says if they don't like something you do, they can suspend your account without due process, and with no appeal. I did not violate their terms, but I was still locked out of my account, because they decided that I did. There was no warning, and no discussion. If you want to spin the wheel, you go right ahead.

Hmmm. I also H8 paypal. They are the worst. Can you make a final decision on how you're gonna handle this situation MM before we all open paypal accounts or close stores?

I don't have another processor to suggest, although AlertPay is still working for me, as far as I know. I haven't asked Heather Blake if she has an objection to switching to PayPal, but I'm pretty sure she does not. The lion's share of my sales on the UMD are through her store. I would just be closing the Mudlover.com store, under my UMD account.

PP is currently on a rampage right now too closing accounts left and right that have anythign to do with adult content.
Im surprised they ok'd this.
I for one will have to shut down my stores if another option isnt available.

This is why I never used Paypal before to accept payments (after my own incident with them). But in this case, we are not ever doing any billing through Paypal. We are simply transferring funds that already exist, from one account to another. I called and spoke with them at length on the phone and they confirmed that, if we are not doing any adult billing, then money transfers are fine, even if the funds *ultimately* came from another adult biller. Their policy does support this.

I totally get it, your the middle man. But to help your producers who had their pp accounts closed and unable to open new ones due to names and or bank info then options would be good.
I have many stores all the over the internet. All of them have options, including direct deposit, checks sent etc.

I'm trying to send money back and it's completely screwed up. Demands a transaction PIN, which I've now re-set twice, yet every time it comes back with "Transaction PIN is required and is incorrect". Withdrawal via credit card is not possible, and from conversation above I assume there isn't any point in trying for a bank transfer.

More than happy to use PayPal to receive money, but guess I'll have to kiss goodbye to the $ in Alertpay - should have bought more discount Splosh magazines when I had the chance, perhaps I could have flogged them on for cost+postage!

However will explain all this to her ladyship? We'll have to turn the heating off in the dungeon to save money now...

(no point ranting about it, and at least it's only money)

Edit: Tried a different browser, which had the old transaction PIN stored. Allowed it to submit that, and it worked. So the changes I made are not going in, but if you (or your browser) remember old PINs it works. MM, you have incoming cash.

I have a horrible feeling this will be the last straw for Steve as well... he has spent so many hours sorting out this stuff for me and now the payments don't work.
Wondered why nothing had appeared in our Alertpay account.
We withdrew some the other day, nothing has arrived yet.

Does Paypal convert the dollars to pounds for you then before they deposit it in a UK account? I thought Paypay only allowed pounds to be deposited in the UK.

Worked for me just set it up in the settings to accept dollars but make gbp your primary currency and it should do if for you automatically if not its only a few clicks

Paypal fees are really high... I just converted our payment and lost way too much

Too many people are taking a piece of the pie I fear. Oh well...

PayPal fees are high, but I think not so bad for larger amounts. Instead of converting every time a payment comes through, let them pile up for as long as possible then convert the whole balance in one go. PayPal isn't about to go titsup.com so safe enough to leave the balance there.

Sadly anything involving banks and money invariably means lots of fingers in the pie, rather than cute ladies in uniform skirts sitting on pies, which would of course be far preferable.
