Hey Ian, what kind of computer are you viewing this post on? It crashes Safari on my iPad, and drags Chrome into unbearable sluggishness on my Core i7 laptop with 8GB of ram...
Scrolling is occasionally slightly sluggish, but otherwise all is fine on my PC: KT133a / Athlon 1GHz, 768MByte RAM, Nvidia 32MByte graphics, Ubuntu 8.04, Firefox 3.6.9.
noise said: I can't replicate the problem with chrome on an i5 or i7 Mac.
Could be slow because browser is trying to load something like 300 pictures, It could be crashing the iPad is it only has 512k RAM.
It's slow because I have 211 tabs open, and am using 7.1GB of memory according to task manager. And I have 30mbit internet, so it's not that.
211 tabs? I thought I was an animal for tabs.
Wasn't suggesting it was internet connection, I was suggesting that the iPad only has 512kb (Need to double check) of RAM so it could be causing an overflow and crashing Safari... I couldn't see apple being that lax... but who knows nowadays.
