High on the wild moors of Langstonedale Chase there are endless peat bogs, and during the brief months of high summer, some of the household occasionally venture up for a mudding.
Wendy took her Swamp Walk in the first year she was here, when she was just 18, she only gets muddy to her waist, but thoroughly drenches her canvas boots and black combat trousers in peaty mud as she walks through the swamp.
