"City suit Rachel deluged with water, food & mud demonstrating the downturn"
The first sketch (and running gag) from Buff Films's last movie "Gooey Girlies" (Buff's demise being caused by the death of cameraman Shaun Kendall) stars busty blonde Rachel Stevens in her best business suit and satin blouse getting covered in almost everything!
in a strangely prescient sketch for 1997, Rachel has to announce the effects of a dreadful stock market crash--with the aid of "digital effects" which consist of having the relevant things thrown at her or poured over her. So when she starts by describing the "soaking" that the rich are going to get, you can tell exactly what is going to happen!
After being drenched by several buckets of water, Rachel has to announce the commodities that will be"going down" cueing a deluge of yogurt, chocolate, custard, soup and thick porridge. Removing her oatmeal-sodden jacket, she then rips open her satin blouse to have ketchup sprayed down her cleavage before being hit by a well thrown real custard pie right in the face.
We return to her now in just her bra, panties and stockings for news of the foreign currency markets and another battering for Rachel from thrown pies. What follows next is a typically corny contrived joke about currencies merging which results in Rachel having a huge bucket of mud poured over her which she happily uses to massage into her huge boobs and everywhere else. The final currencies to combine are the dollar and the gilda--to give us (or rather Rachel--the Dildo! Which as she says "is expected to be up one by this evening!"
By our final visit to Rachel, she is naked and sprawled on the city desk covered in mud. After pieing her own boobs, she, like the economy, ends up "in the black" when she is completely covered in black treacle turning our once pristine financial reporter into an unrecognisable black and brown blob!
