Since the drywalling had been so effective, I figured that the 3 of us could have quite a good time painting the planks in the carport. As with the oil change, Grace thought that a touch of class and some deliberate picture taking might be a good thing. We talked about what to do for the concept of the pictures and I suggested that Betty lay across the planks and I paint the planks in alternating colours like she was not there. Betty was in a gray Dolce and Gabana t-shirt dress, funky spiral fishnet hose, heels and sunglasses. The heels had annoying extra straps, so we trimmed them off nicely. Since I was not technically intended to be part of the shoot, I just wore my jeans and hoody that I had intended to paint the planks in anyhow. Wow, did Betty ever look hot, and with the paint, even hotter. We used scrap latex mistints as primer. They made nice colours and also were cheap. I totally slathered Betty while Grace took photos of the progression. After doing the front side, we flipped her over and painted the back as well. Betty was well and truly pigmented in an hour. Sadly, the paint was a bit cold, even for Betty, so we moved to clean up in the sunshine on the driveway, and got some neat shots from both Grace and me of the very cold wetlook cleanup. We only figured out the next day that I could have hooked the hose to the warm water sink! Our drainage stream turned Pepto-pink! We had to keep the ducks in until the latex had set so that they did not drink it and get sick. Those pictures might be good enough to become offical wamfg site pictures and since my hands get in quite a few of them, I had to sign a model release. This means, of all silly things, I am actually a wamfg model, someone must be somewhere for that to happen (presuming that a photo including my hand ever makes it to the pay side without webby falling off his chair laughing!) In retrospect, some of the oil change photos might end up being a photoset some time too, and I think my hand might appear in some of those shots too (the ones just of me are not wamfetishgirls material, for obvious reasons, ) We took so many pics and vids that I had to run upstairs (carefully) several times with the camera chips and load them into the computer and empty the chips for reuse. After Betty was clean enough to hit the tub, she showered off and warmed and and we treated her right for the rest of the evening, keeping her nice, warm and slightly impaired.
