I went to examine my favourite mud wallow this morning. Sure enough, there it was glistening in the early morning light. A bit watery, but on getting into it I found that the mud was easily worked so that it all became quite creamy very quickly. I could have slipped right down into it there and then - but I was just not in the right gear! Still it'll keep - it better had. I was thinking to try it out in a couple of days, but the weather forecast for my area says Snow and Frost [again]. I'm not into breaking the ice nowadays, so perhaps at the weekend.
Talking of which, I tried out some waterproof socks last weekend. Wore them with a pair of hiking boots. They were great, kept the wet at bay for a good hour at least. And even when they did get wet through, my feet remained warm - a great bonus. Really a treat to feel (and hear) the water squidging about in the boots. By then I'd walked through some ditches almost up to my knees in mud and slop, and across a small pond. This was far better than doing the same in a pair of Hunters.
All good stuff to keep the adrenalin and cum flowing, I'm just waiting for the slightly warmer days.
